Aubergine Cafe Sunnyside
Aubergine (49-22 Skillman Ave) doesn’t have a kitchen, but serves hot food. Needless to say it’s more favorable to stick to the cheese plates and pastries than to order the hot food at this cute little café.The salads and soups often lack in quality, but that doesn’t mean you can’t eat here. With a variety of cheeses and bread pastry products, it’s a good place to snack and relax. With a wait staff that’s as well mannered as they come and a sleek laidback atmosphere, it’s no wonder locals are fond of Aubergine. The exposed brick walls, wood floors and vintage coffee grinders make for an inviting yet rustic interior. Including juices, beer and wines, they also serve a wide selection of teas and freshly brewed coffee drinks. The dim lighting isn’t suitable for reading but it’s a great place to chat with friends.
Love this place. I come here for brunch all the time. They serve Irving Farm coffee, which is one of the nicest coffees around.
